When I came on board with the City of Seabrook I was tasked with increasing our visitor base. This can be accomplished in a variety of ways including:

  • Branding

  • Media Buying

  • Targeted Advertising

  • Destination Marketing

  • Collaboration with area attractions

  • Partnerships with visitor and economic development organizations

And over the past seven years I have utilized all of these channels to help achieve my goals.

One of the most effective tourism marketing campaigns I have collaborated on is “Baycations are Better”. This multiyear marketing campaign has been an incredible success to date. The creation of the campaign was brought to life while I served as Chair of the Bay Area Houston CVB. Creative developed by MindEcology.

Seabrook is in a very unique position, while on the water, a state highway expansion project has had a negative impact on business and development. It has been a challenge to grab the attention of potential development prospects.

For the past three years I have been constantly pushing a marketing campaign geared around “My Business Belongs in Seabrook”. The campaign started off by talking to small business owners and telling the story about why they choose Seabrook. It has since spun off to “Your Business Belongs in Seabrook”. The campaign has incorporated video, print and web ads and email marketing with the Houston Business Journal and REDNews.

The campaign has worked and we have the attention of prospects so now the City’s Economic Development staff takes the prospects to the next steps.
