The key to successful communications is planning.
PUBLIC AFFAIRS
STRATEGIC plan
Planning is key when it comes to executing a successful marketing campaign. Whether it is how your logo ties in with your website or maybe using graphics on your social networks, a good plan can help bring everything together while also prioritizing your projects.
I am currently using my FY22 Public Affairs Strategic Plan as a guide to goals and action items that need to be complete. Feel free to look through my plan for inspiration.
city wide strategic plan
Since 2015, the City of Seabrook develops a city-wide strategic plan allowing departments to work collaboratively on goals and tactics. Each year my department is tasked with several items that need to be completed and I am please to say we continue to have wonderful results.
The 2019 plan resulted in a department name change the addition of personnel. We are excited to start new programs and ways of engaging the public.
As a communication professional I know the importance of planning and I am a strong and strategic communicator who will make the plan, adjust the plan and execute the plan to the best of my abilities.
Event Planning
While working with the City of Seabrook I have taken on many hats, one being the city’s primary event’s coordinator. I lead and plan several of the city’s recurring and new events including:
Seabrook Easter Excursion
4th of July Kids Parade
Main Street Christmas Tree Lighting
Breakfast with Santa
My department oversees all special event permits for the city in addition to any event who seeks sponsorship money from the city. Over the years I have developed a variety of forms and applications to ensure all events are evaluated on the same scale.
Celebration Seabrook is by far the largest event I plan all year. I am responsible for:
Sponsorship sales
Securing all vendors
Hiring entertainment
Planning kids activities
Oversight of all event logistics and planning
Website development
Ticket sales
Development and oversight of marketing and advertising
The 2022 event is taking place on Saturday, October 8 at Meador Park.
