Work worth doing

I have had the privilege and honor of being a public servant for the past 18 years. First as college lecturer at a Texas state university and then as a creative professional in local government. Has it been challenge? Yes. Have there been times when I wanted to quit? Yes. But the positive has always outweighed the negative.

While in college I had dreams of becoming a music video director working in California or Nashville… little did I know the plans that were in store for me.

I am a Certified Public Communicator with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Master of Science in Interactive Communication. I have a creative mind and a competitive spirit and I take pride in my work and strive to be successful.

I have been beyond successful throughout my career but being a mother is my greatest triumph. I am the mother to an incredible teenage boy who loves baseball and video games and I am also the mother to the an adorable toddler. Plus I am blessed to be the step mother to an amazing little girl who loves all things related to art and crafts. The three kids combined keep me on my toes and running all over the place but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. My husband supports me as a working mom and is understands when I spend my evenings attending public meetings or when I have to work an event on a holiday. I love my husband dearly and together we make an incredible team.
